That comes back *very* quickly so I suspect it's not finding the LAN, this is on :

However, according to an Erik's post, you should be able to get the patch at :

Just unzip it, run the .exe and point it at the right directory if you installed anywhere but the default.

I've fixed the problem. And I should have checked FTP direct before posting here really.

ZoneAlarm was installed, it wsn't autostarting it's GUI but the its vector client (and logging process) was on automatic start under services. So I disabled them, removed ZoneAlarm completely and then rebooted. That fixed it, the vector client was blocking FTP and as the GUI wasn't running there was no way it could signal that. It was error logging though to the system events log. BTW just disabling and rebooting isn't enough it seems, removal is required.
