can't start the game

After the latest automatic update 1.4.1 the game was acting funny. I uninstalled and re-installed the game. The game installed properly, but it won't start. It spawns the BA*32 process but just consumes CPU cycles

It's not a problem we've seen before so not sure what is happening. After you reinstall do you see a lot of .001 files in the folder? Uninstalling should have removed these tempoary download files for the patcher program but possibly they failed and it is getting confused somehow. Remove them and try again. Also try delete the folder My Docs\My Games\BBCBA and see if this helps, though be aware this will remove your saved games if you had any.

Can you tell us exactly where you get to. Do you see the launcher window appear?

What are the specs of your machine, graphics card & operating system?

I have a recollection that this can be caused by specific video drivers. What is your system spec? I would try updating the drivers to see whether it fixes the issue if there is a newer version for you to grab.
