New Beta Model

Just wanted to say that I'm not at all happy or impressed with the BETA version. Here's what I don't like:

1). The graphics are fine, except that I don't like the floating info that pops up when I put my cursor over a hex. It's annoying and redundant as the info is duplicated (it's already available).

2). In trying to designate units for attach, I used to be able to right-click on a hex and select "all units attack," or have an option to have multiple units in a hex attack. Now it's not the case, and it also goes with the movement. Now it seems (as with the naval units before-hand), I have to do this individually for each and every unit. This is annoying and a waste of time.

3). When right-clicking on a unit, I'd prefer my cursor to remain the arrow instead of some animated explosions.

I just started with this, so this is all that I have so far. I think I'll go back and re-load the last version, before the Beta. If this is what the new update will look like, then I'll stay with the last version.

That said, I love the game.....

Rick,

you can reset the unit selection etc. to the default settings. I did the same, the pop up I disabled, and it's possible See the following thread:

tm.asp?m=2569162&mpage=1&key=3.4%2Cbeta ... s&#2569162

It's also described in the "What's new" doc, how to use the old settings.

So, don't give up. The new rules about supply etc are WORTH it.

Got it. Thanks for the help! Have to get used to the new stuff, though.

The cursor explosions are nice, but I found them distracting so I deleted them from the graphics file. As long as us old timers who are used to certain things can revert to them, its a good thing, because new players might very well like the changes.
