The package contains multiple (historical) versions of two different games, what are now ANW (Advanced Naval Warfare) and HCE (Commander's Edition). Only ANW has multiplayer. 3.10.0.0 is the latest version, will hopefully be more-or-less universally used now and is probably your best choice. Some still prefer 3.6.3 for reasons you can research if you really feel the need!

If you are new to Harpoon, I would actually start with CE, though.

Hi Nego,

Ultimate Edition is the latest and greatest.

Included in it is Harpoon 3 ANW 3.10, which is the best version for online play.

Online play only works with H3 ANW. The version included in HUE is ANW 3.10 which offers many new faetures as well.

Generally speaking, the H3 ANW series focuses more on micromanagement and "finetuning" of naval/air ops, while HC is "easy to learn, hard to master". No one should underestimate that wonderful classiv version, though: Old, but intuitive GUI, really nasty AI, excellent databases.

You could fall in love with both of them [:)]
