How do I split Air Groups

I recently received two CVE's with no aircraft attached but with a capacity of 27 aircraft each. I had two available air groups to transfer to the carriers. Air group 'A' consisted of 27 Zeros and air group 'B' had 27 Vals (coincidence) .
I could not find a way to split the air groups so you guessed it; I have one CVE with 27 Zeros and one with 27 Vals. I don't think this is a very sound policy.
How could I have split the air groups into smaller units for transfer?

Don't know (I am afraid you can't :() ... but it is NOT really a bug

You should rather post this message on the main UV forum :)

Splitting air wings

I found a trick that works. Fly training missions on the air wings you want to transfer. Through normal operational losses and attrition the number of operational aircraft will be reduced (Number of Planes being repaired) once the number of Zero and Vals come down to the level you are looking for then transfer the remaining aircraft to the carriers. The remaining aircraft will still be land based. Also when you put back into port you can use the repaired aircraft to reconstitute your air wings.

Good idea :)

However, we can suggest it as an improvement for a next UV patch ...

Sorry about the post location,

I hope this is a problem that can be resolved in the next patch.
I know that air groups were and should be able to be transfered a bit at a time. This may not keep the unit integrety but it may be required at times.
No offense to point luck, but I think it is a BAD idea to simply kill off some of them via operational losses and attrition until you get the right amount. It seems like a waste of pilots, which are harder and harder to come by for the Japanese as the war goes on.
This would still not meet my requirement of splitting the airgroups into smaller groups for deployment since this method only reduces the number of planes in the single group.
There must be a way.
