Check the General's HQ website (see the after action report thread for the link), or contact Gazfun, as he can answer this best, if no one else gets back to you.

Gazfun,
It was a thread over in Wargamer that prompted my post. I am Epee1 over there. You answered my question over there, and thanks for your quick response.
I am EXTREMELY wary of game like EIA that does not have a detailed tutorial and walkthrough. I don't learn things easily, and this game seems to be very complex along the same lines as War in the Pacific. I will keep my eye on it though as it gets released with the upcoming patch.
Thanks again.

Hi Sabre1
EiANW isnt really complex in my view, though.
Its a matter of playing the game to understand it really.
There are more complex game out there!
But for a game to be dynamic as this is there has to be a certain amount of complexity with it, otherwise boredom will set in.
I have been playing this PC version of the game for 3 years or more, and I can say that there is always something new coming around the corner, especially when it comes to playing with 6 other human players. I have played the game back in the late 80's face to face, eye to eye, the issue in that scenario dont come into play as it does playing online, because you dont have the convenience to talk to anyone anytime you chose.
You can never take anything for granted, and you have to play it like you are head of state.

Hi Sabre 1
The game is more like diplomacy than War in the Pacific. In diplomacy, you get creamed every time if you don't know what the other players will do or they are very experienced diplomacy players. The only nation that really has to understand the rules really well is England, and this only applies to the Naval rules. Everyone else can get by without little more than a practice session.

If you have played traditional EiA before, I suggest a quick game playing as France against 6 AI opponents. While the AI will not give you a good game, it will let you learn how to translate the differences from what you are used to over to this version. If you have not played EiA before, I would probably suggest the same approach, just give yourself more time to understand everything. Then when you are ready to try a real game, go for one of the "secondary" powers where you can learn with an ally helping you along.
