Video AAR

Anyone ever thought of making a video of their adventures playing Distant Worlds? YouTube is devoid of any DW videos except the preview ones and it's sad, because Star Ruler for example has a lot of player-made videos, and I do believe DW deserves more.

Plus it would also help sell the game. That's how I first found out about it anyway, through that video of fleet combat iirc.

Also, since I can't play(RL and technical problems) I'd LOVE to see some recorded fleet action.

Cheers

I should really make a video of my mods some time. Just to advertise and make the Trek fans aware of DW.

The thought of making one makes me a little nervous, I don't really know what the reaction will be. I think I know how to make the video, it's just what sort of content should I use?

Maybe if one of your Romulan DX-Class Warbirds are tough enough, you could show one moving
through a "Briar Patch" Nebula chasing a Boskari vessel! [:D]

I suppose I could just create some small battle scenes and anotate them. I don't really want to start a whole AAR or some kind of strategy guide, but I don't want to look like I haven't put any effort in either.

Anyway, It's kind of odd that no one's made any videos for DW. I wonder if it's for the exact same reason as me.

Its something I would possibly try, however, in the past I used Fraps to make my videos (for Far Cry 2 and Trackmania and probably a couple other things) but while the videos came out fine the file size was massive, not fit for sharing on the internet certainly [&:]

The free microsoft video editing program seems to make the beautiful fraps videos into utterly awful quality so I had to use a sony or phillips one or something, but when the free trial expired it was too pricey to consider buying. [:(]
