Download won´t work!

Received the Email with downloadlink 45 min ago.
Download don´t work! [:(]

I closed the download immediately after payment from the link Iget - opened the link in the email - started again.
Download don´t work! [:(]

I stopped and restarted it several times.

What else can I do? [&:]

Picture since 45 min. 0%......

My first attempt failed; got to (apparently) the end then an error about not being able to save it. Trying again now.. won't be playing tonight now, though [:(]

Please e-mail me at erikr@matrixgames.com with your order info. We will do our best to troubleshoot this with you. Please see my other reply to you with suggestions you should try on your system too. First one is to turn off any anti-virus/security software that may be blocking the download.

Also, if you have an alternate browser like Firefox or Chrome installed, please try those with the same link.

I had the same problem as Templer when I first tried. After about ten minutes with no activity I canceled the download then tried again using the link in the email instead of the one on the order page. It then started downloading immediately. It's got another forty minutes or so to go, but it looks good at this point

^ +1 - after about 10 minutes of no action, I cancelled the download dialog and restarted using the link on the web page and it came down fine - >350KB/s

Downloaded at 350 Kb/s and installed. Seems to be working fine

I've been using Chrome and all anti-virus software has been disabled.

On my first attempt, the download was reported as finished after getting only 218 MBytes.
On the second attempt, download speed started at 200 KB/s, fell to 100 KBs and then started to go down. I cancelled when I saw it was at a mere 50 Kb/s.
I'm on the third attempt, the download speed has been 225 Kb/s for the last 25 minutes ( 372 out of 636 MBytes already on my drive).

I guess the server hamsters just couldn't cope with the burden.

UPDATE: Download just finished and installation process seems to be working fine.

Don't Worry its back up downloading now

Thanks Erik, that was probably why it restarted for me. When it crashed out on me I tried to save it in the original folder that I had set up but it just sat there spinning without transferring so I created a new folder & it seems to be downloading fine. the file dosen't seem to like installing on top of itself.

My dl speed is really really slow 35k/s when it is working. This is my 4th attempt

Download speed issues are usually because of problems on the internet between our servers and your system, often in the last part of the connection from your ISP to you. The servers themselves have no shortage of bandwidth, but the internet can be an odd place when it comes to figuring out real performance to any place in the world. Where are you downloading from?

I've now downloaded and installed Firefox and then downloaded WitE via Firefox now. It worked. Strange. [&:]

In the past, was already in the WitP: AE Forum, it shown that you can rely on Erik 100% . [:)]

Erik, the link you sended me by email I tryed with IE. It offers me to download the file. So it will work I guess. [:)]

So that, for me it has worked quite well with the download after I've downloaded Firefox.
But it should not become a permanent condition with Matrix products! [:-]

Erik I hope you don't have too much work with the WitE/tech support section.

So, after 3 hours in the madness, I can now play a little WitE.

I hope the problems and difficulties of Hertson, Pompack Manstein63, Neal_MLC, Manstein63 and all the other unfortunate to be solved as soon as possible.

And I now have a date for dinner in the Kremlin.
If the Russians won't let me in , I knock on the door with one of my tiger tanks! [:D]

That should tell you something... get rid of IE

Erik. Exactly this was the problem which I had with "The Blue and the Gray".

Only after I changed the download directory (from D: to C: ) the download started.

But with WiTE this problem did not occure again.

I had the same problem and solved it by using Firefox. It is an IE issue.
