Ok... so I have this ship that whilst valiantly defending the empire from some sort of Space Prawn (which is awesome!!!), or Space Lobster I suppose cos of the claws, lost its Hyperdrive and now can't move.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or is that it for those brave souls, are their names to be added to the lists of the honoured dead (when I right-click and scrap the ship) forever to be remembered as the saviours of Ylisea3?

Any advice would be appreciated!

I believe construction ships have a 'repair' mission or something to rebuild damaged components.

Just select a constructionship and right click on your damaged ship [;)]

Or wait until the AI assigns a C-ship to repair the stranded dude. It might take aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawhile though
