here is a question...

I like playing this game in my top resolution which is 1920x1080. I can still read the info on the screen with really no prob...but is there a way to increase the size of the font as well as increasing the size of the font backing plates and artwork?

Is this feature available or can i manually edit the font and plates in windows paint or another medium?

Just wondering...[8|]

if you read the 'whats new' pdf file that comes with the game it shows how to edit the shortcut to change the font type which helps somewhat.

also, if you search for 'text size' on these forums you will find a thread which has a link to an external program which magnifies the text.

havent tried it myself but maybe give it a go.

i have to admit...the map is stunning at 1920x1080...but the font and information is just way too small for that setting...maybe in a future update...mr. grigsby can set the font and info screens to be larger and easier to read for the best resolution that the player can choose...

but until then...its back to 1024x768...

anyway...this is the best pacific war game available...i would love to see a war in the pacific 2 that has the same scale as war in the east...but at ten miles a hex....that would be a HUGE map[X(]

The developers have already stated that to change the fonts (apart from the -AltFont option) would require the reprogramming of every single information menu in the game. Not a trivial task and not likely to happen soon.

However, there is no need to drop all the way back into 1024x768 resolution as there are several options in between. AE will display in all legal display resolutions supported by your video card. If you try running AE at these resolutions in full screen mode (without the -w parameter) you may find an effective text size that you find acceptable.

See this thread Widescreen Settings for a list of resolution I find work with my setup with a 24" monitor.

Best of luck,
