Wacht am Rhein v4.50.12 Public Beta

Hello All,

We have a new update for CC: Wacht am Rhein available in the Members Club. It includes the changes to path finding and AI, as in Last Stand Arnhem, in addition to other fixes. This is a beta, so please give us your feedback. We hope to make this official before the holidays, but wanted to give you a quick look before doing that.

Changes in this update v4.50.12b
  • New Features
    • Path finder from “Last Stand Arnhem” added.
    • AI player updates from “Last Stand Arnhem” added.
  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed post-battle crash that could occur due to incorrect cleanup of flamethrower effects data.
    • Fixed post-battle crash that could occur due to incorrect cleanup of vehicle wreck image data.
    • Fixed several multi-player crashing issues.
    • Battle Group Screen: Revert now resets the reinforcement count correctly in all cases.
  • Map fixes
    • Elsenborn Ridge elevation variation improved.
    • Malmedy tree coded in building removed.
    • St. Vith elevation improved.
    • All maps with bridges now have bridges coded as "bridge" rather than "paved road."
    • Neffe - fixed RFM polygons so interior graphics display properly.
    • Meyerode elevations tweaked.

Had to post this pic: my sniper (G43) fired 5 rounds at this 57mm. One shot killed 2 crew members at once, the last shot made the gun explode!!! It was not a grenade or anything else, I was watching it. The gun was destroyed by a rifle round!

hmmm... I did a very similar thing in LSAA

Taking out the whole crew with 1 single rifle shot.

I wonder what changes have beeen made to bring this about

Nice one! At last snipers are realistic, instead chasing crew they go for gun's ammo! Keep on good work!

Just a quick check: does this beta patch includes all previous updates (i.e you just need to install the game and then add this patch)?

Sorry for the very late reply. All patches released for the Close Combat series are comprehensive that include all previous updates.

I hope everyone is relaying there finds through IM E-Mail or someother means?
Because nobody is posting any bugs either here or at CCS.

I don't see how WAR is any closer to being complete with this patch [:(]
Vehicles that are close to buildings or other non navigating Terrain Elements (The AI does place them as well too) leaves them just doing a stupid sit and spin motion for the entire Battle.

And I doubt that all the maps have been recodded properly.
What a shame.
And what a lousy product.
