About the name of the ships

Hello there.

Does anyone knows if there's a way to have ships like Cruisers or Explorers be named like (example) Shinjuku-001, 002, 003, etc?

Because it gets me a little nervous to check every cruiser that I make and assign it to a Fleet =P

they are.  Every ship that gets build has a number attached to it.  You may want to re-phrase question.

Some roles (eg escorts) get numerical names assigned like that. I think Genocidio is asking about ships that get more individual names assigned to them like explorers eg an explorer may be called "Pride of Kurellia" and will not have any reference to the design (such as "Shinjuku").

Afaik there is no way for the player to determine this atm. But any decent modding system will eventually have to include the ability to define ship roles to some extent, no reason an option couldn't be added to decide whether a role gets a design based name or a real name.
