I've finally made it to the gates of the city. I can see the spires of the city in the distance.

Has anyone else made it this far? How did you approach this?

yes

hello Tiger, yes I'm past Kiev, and just past Kharkov. I've been playing this MC for several months ;) Also from some of the posts I read in this forum it seems like there are others who have too, like the posts that mentioned AT-dog in Kharkov or the Donitz River.

Sorry since it's been a while, I don't quite recall the details of Kiev to lend you a helping hand. But in general, MCLV does not have a lot of minefields in the scenarios, even in city fights which is a blessing. Just try those Stalingard scenarios that came with SPWAW. ARRRRGGGG

one more thing...

since you've made it to Kiev, you must have survived Potapov's pripet marsh nightmare (in Malin). You have nothing to fear in Kiev compared to that :)

That's good news. The scenario I just completed, however, will give Potapov a run for his money. Can't remember the scenario however. I had to fight through more than 8 counter-attacks from all areas of the map, lots of T-34's and KV-1's, thank goodness for the 5cm AT gun, it saved my bacon.;)

I have not made it there yet

Well you know I keep getting involved in these AAR things and they eat up a lot of my time. Also so many people seem to want to play PBEM games with me of late. Sigh. I will make it there I guess I will just have to give up sleeping.:D
