I hate to open a new thread for question like this but...

I just got to do my install of RotS...

I did not see fighters or bombers added to the Shakturi... were there suppose to be, and my install fail OR
are they not going to get fighters and so on?

Shakturi aren't playable either, so that may be by design?

I've got a fighter and a bomber image as well as  a full ship set for the Shakturi.

Are you looking in the images/units/ships/family9 folder, tj?

I was looking in the 'Other' category!

Does the 'Other' Category of ship serve any function that anyone has seen?
See, I knew I would feel STUPID to ask.

I also did not see a 'carrier' per se in any of the ship sets... so that will come with a later... and it is up to us to install them as necessary.

So far, my messages come up a little slower than before, but the rest of it seem to work better/faster.

Easy mistake to make, I kind of figured when I read this that was where you were looking. [:)]

I'd really like to see a carrier ship image. I'd also like to see an extra ship image added for each class so that we can creat variants of a class with a different image.

I *think* the other category accounts for pirates or derelicts...maybe both.

Yes more classes would rule, although the current game mechanic doesn't make much use for them.

So for the sequel Elliot here are my suggestions

Like a traditional class from navies

Escort
Frigate
Destroyer
Cruiser
Battleship
Dreadnought
Capital?
Escort Carrier
Carrier
Fleet Carrier

Also create different classes of weapons where there are capital size weapons.

Each class will have bonus and negatives, where the smaller classes have great speed and dodge bonus against say a capital size weapon (thus creating an importance for fighter screening tactics).

This is the one big limiting factor for DW in my opinion.
