I need some guidance. I am setting up a small test map to test out fighter bombers in different assortments.

I have created a test scenario centered on the Tennant creek area. So far I have sucessfully Set Tennant Creek as my Allied base with a level six airfield and placed a base unit there and 20 k of supply. I have set an Allied tank unit and a Japanese tank unit two hexes away and set up Daily Waters as a Japanese base. No problem so far and it looks like this.

My problem is getting an air unit to Tennant Creek. I think I have the settings right to get a beaufighter unit there but must be missing something. Would somebody with some editor experience look this over and let me know what I am doing wrong? I used the Editor a lot in the UV days but have just forgotten a lot. And yes, I was careful to save this many times in the same slot. Thanks

Several non-obvious things have to happen when building a test scenario. We've been doing this for over two years, and have found many of them. If you are serious, send a pm. Will try to help.

JWE probably answered your question. I think the issue is the Delay value. From the manual.

Delay is the date when the Air Group enters the game. This is a 6 digit number where the first two
digits represent the year, the middle two the month, and the last two the day (i.e. 420405 is April 5,
1942 so the Air Group would be available at the end of the April 5 1942 turn). If the value is 0, or a
date before the beginning of the scenario, than the Air Group will begin the game on the map. If the
number is 9999, the Air Group will not appear in the scenario.

I believe if you change the Delay to 420805 or 0 then it will appear at the beginning of the scenario. Your date of 420806 will have the group appear at the end of the turn and will be visible on August 7.
