LCU / HQ Load Costs listed in the Editor?

Gents -

Scn 96 - an expanded DBB. I am changing 25th Army HQ to the Kota Bharu Invasion TF, and have added the ships (above and beyond - just in case) to the TF.

Have looked in the Editor for the 25th Army load cost - no go, or I am missing something. Do I need to go in - game to check load costs?

This is a first attempt - am very much a newbie. Am reading (carefully) the forums, and studying the rules - to learn as much as possible about AE - in this case LCU combat. Want to optimize Kota Bharu - with a Corps HQ in the Hex, plus leaders, supply, air support etc - all the factors I can control (with prudent and careful planning). The other factors - under the hood and thus out of my control - are part of life, and it is what it is.

Also - I believe that the 25th Army could be - in a hypothetical battle - in an adjacent hex, and still give the combat modifiers (along with same target Command HQ). But - I understand that to benefit from the administrative effects - replacements, recovery of fatigue and reduction of disruption - the Corps HQ would have to be co - located with the subordinate LCU.

OK - thought I would ask the Big Boys (that's YOU).

Thanks for you help with my plans for World Domination.

Neophyte Mac

Mac,

I don't play around with the editor, so this is possibly not quite a direct answer to your question. But if you want to understand how loading costs are calculated and implemented you need to read thoroughly section 6.3.2 (pages 110-128) of the manual.

Hi, Alfred!

Thank You for your Reply. I have indeed, studied at length the pages referred too. Have also put together a spread sheet - that has been very helpful in enabling me to get a firm grasp of the concepts involved.

Another player has suggested that checking in game is the only source he is aware of for load costs; and I did so. Have been putting serious effort into study of, then implementation of the rules - with multiple test runs. Have learned a lot - and my appreciation for the level of detail and planning that went into AE has only increased.

Thank You again,

Mac

Tracker has load costs and Base Load - both of which are calculated fields and therefore not always 100% accurate. We are missing some things here ... but it is a sort of list you're looking for.
