Let me understand this. Is Matrix Games saying that unless you buy the expansion there will be no further patching for DW.

Let me understand this. Is Matrix Games saying that unless you buy the expansion there will be no further patching for DW.

I certain GJ that there will be a patch for vanilla DW provided when the crew returns from
their holiday break. Hang in there a bit longer!

If there is a new patch for "Vanilla" DW, will we have to apply that even if we have upgraded to RotS? Or will the upgrade switch us onto a new "track" of patching and updates?

My understanding is that the expansion patch should patch the problems vanilla
DW had since it's based on that Chet.

I can tell you that patches for the expansion will not work on the vanilla DW unless it is specifically stated to do so. When the expansion was released it had a build in patch for problems experienced for the vanilla DW .
For example . Fixed crash that occurred after adding new stars or systems in game editor .

We have in fact said that there will be at least one more update for the original pre-expansion DW. At some point though, further support will be based on the expansions.
