VICTORY CONDITIONS QUESTION

Hi all,
I was playing a ED campaign as the axis. I was in turn 31.
I only had 4 AS score points plus 4 Industrial damage.
I know that it's not too much, but I was trying to keep that 4 AS score points because of the game victory conditions as loong as I was trying to destroy the oil industry to try again to defeat the british planes in the air on the second month of the campaign.
The manual states that "To continue play after the first 31 days, the german player must have an air superiority level of at least 4.".
I supose that this have changed, because I have lost the game in turn 31...
How is victory in ED and BTR calculated now?
