Hi

I'm just dipping my toe into AE for the first time and want to export the ship classes to excel for some analysis as per the Mike Solli technique. I have used witploadAE and have managed to get some .dat files out using the following command line:

witploadae /e /s001

but I thought this should spit the files out as csv files? Why do I get something like this when I open it in notepad?

O„Õ 18.1in/45 T94 Gun 16.1in/45 3YT Gun 14in/45 41YT Gun 8in/50 3YT-II Gun 6.1in/60 3YT Gun 6in/50 41YT Gun 5.5in/50 3YT Gun 5.5in/40 QF Gun 5in/50 3YT Gun 4.7in/45 3YT Gun 16in/45 Mk 1 Gun 16in/45 Mk 6 Gun 16in/50 Mk 7 Gun 14in/45 Mk 8 Gun 14in/50 Mk 7 Gun 12in/50 Mk 8 Gun 8in/55 Mk 9 Gun 8in/55 Mk 12 Gun 6in/47 Mk 16 Gun 6in/53 Mk 12 Gun 5in/51 Mk 7 Gun 4in/50 Mk 9 Gun 5in/38 Mk 22 Gun 5in/51 Mk 9 Gun 16in/45 Mk I Gun 15in/42 Mk I Gun 14in/45 Mk VII Gun 8in/50 Mk VIII Gun 7.5in/50 Mk VI Gun 6in/50 Mk XXI Gun

Where are the commas?

Regards

John

Never mind, I found that they was a csv export function in WitpTracker - that works a lot better!
