I decided I would play a full Scen with an older version that I never got to play.

Harpoon 1.32A - I dont remember which Scen I have chose, but it involves sinking at least 10 Soviet subs.

*** Gatekeeper #5 GIUK ***

First impressions are neat, how far the Sim has come in these years. Neat thing is I am having no trouble playing it. It is the same, just the user interface is different, and the graphics, but that is no big deal.

I have my first contact, Updated to come..

EDIT
************
playing the same Scen with HCE....lets see what happens..

It seems that the Mk46 from a Orion has hit its mark! An Echo II Class. Now I must get another Orion to the area, Only 2 Torps hit the target! There is still another sub!

*** Note, the sound works also, I just had to find the right sound card. In this case, the ADLIB board. Man does this bring back memories! I am having soundblaster flashbacks!

Ah A Victor I, this was much harder. He went deep and fast. It took (3) MK46 Torps to get him.

*****New Contact***
East of Iceland, must launch another Orion! What happened to My Nimrods? Not enough range? Hmm.

I the lone Foxtrot due north of Iceland, 4 torps expended, one hit...These Mk46's are not as good as the Mk48's for sure.

It was enough.

Well the Oscar fell. The Orion had only one hit. The Mk46 did not sink her. (2) Nimrods came in and the Spearfish found their mark. It took 4 Spearfish plus one Mk46 to sink her. She was tough to sink.

Yet, her escort the Victor II is still lurking, she took a Torp but has eluded another shot.

I have dispatched more Nimrods, they were waiting on the Tarmac for word.

These Oscars are HARD to kill. Multiple Torp hits and they still go! I must take that into consideration when I fire, fire in groups!

Ah her escort was too close!

Another one bites the dust!

Why are these Oscar's so hard to kill? Ah, I remember now, they ARE very large. One thing, the first glitch. I searched in the 'active' platforms and no Oscar was listed in the Scenario, but they are there. They are listed in the Full DB. I like these pop up pics in this version.

Another Victor, I think it is smart to concentrate firepower on the most dangerous boats, once not a threat, then go for the Escorts....

Now to the dangerous one for my surface fleet, too close for comfort. The Spearfish seems to be a much better Torpedo than the Mk46.

An Echo sinks...

Is the Echo a threat? I am sure it is, but I have not seen one in a scenario for years. Just what does the DB Say about it?
