Independent colonies becomig nations. About their shipsets.

I haven't paid any real attentation to this thing before, but in my recent game it got noticeable enough. Everytime an independent colony becomes a new empire they get the human/kiadian shipset (I assume it's the shipset No.1). In my current game there's about 3 Mortalen splinter factions, all using the Kiadian shipset.
So my question is: Can this be modded so the new factions would get their own native shipsets when they start a new empire? Or if that's not possible, then at least randomize it?
Or is the only way to avoid this to just turn off the independent colonies ability to become a new empire?
I really like to play with this setting on so it would be nice if there would be some solution to this small issue.

We should move this to the tech forum, I think Eliott is more likely to see it there.
(Because really it should be a fix rather than a mod that sorts this).

I wasn't completely sure should I put this here or techs, but I agree that it's probably best to move this there.
Hope this gets fixed. Small but annoying issue.

You know, I too noticed this the other day (forgot to post about it though)
Mine was one of the bugs using human ships... looked quite weird actually lol
But, after sometime, they did start having their own shipsets again
I think, initially they have this problem, but as soon as something occurs that kicks the upgrade design routines in, they start using their own shipsets once more
At least that was my observation

That makes sense. Still, hope this gets fixed so the new empires would use their own shipsets from the start. They use their native transports when being independent.
