The Shakturis

Hello. I played Distant Worlds for few months now and, I bought the expansion pack today, mainly because of the improved interface, smarter fleet control and automation, AND the return of the infamous Shakturis, yessssss. I played it 7 hours straight today, hoping to get more further in storyline.

Unfortunately, I did not. I cannot find the Shakturis anywhere in the damn galaxy! This IS pretty mid-game I'm sure, I have over 25 systems under my empire's control, 3 races eradicated, and I have 2 planet destroyers.

First I thought, hey.. I have the largest empire than anyone else, strongest and most fleets in the galaxy. With powerful economy for size. I mass produced the explorer ships just to find them! And if these infamous Shakturis are really that dangerous and powerful, I would want to match them with my power (Still growing).

I went on the editor because I could not resist, I just had to find out where they are! I went to go look at which planets they reside on... None. No ships, no planets. None. So there must be specific time or a event taking place for them to appear yes?

Does it have anything to do with the Abraxas system, Utopia Planet where the Mechanoids are around? If so, was it my mistake for me to consume them into my empire as my very first victims? What's going on?

there are two similar threads with the same dilema, it seems that their apparition is related to the deveolpement level (maybe a certain strategical level) of the entire galaxy, anyway at this point we only have speculations
