Depends on side and if scenario or CG and if against a human or AI. I can do a Axis turn in about after turn 1 and 2 in about an hour to an hour an a half against the AI depending the test I want to perform, usually when mud & snow hits about 20-30 minutes less. Against a human I'll spend an extra hour or two as the Axis. As the Soviets I can spend anywhere from two to six hours on a turn.
Scenarios much less time consumed.

2-4 hours usually as the Axis vs. AI, about 5h shortly before the mud hits, less than 2h during mud with a fairly extended frontline and thus barely any supllies/motor pool to work with.

Playing as Soviets, it takes me 1 hour moving counters (rail animation for my troops takes so much time) and 30 minuits to 1 hour watching the AI (I increased message delay but message detail is still 1). BTW, can you speed up rail animation?

Change your settings for faster ai,it usually takes about 3 minutes for ai to take their turn.

What setting is that?
I think I'll turn off animation or make it quicker.

The space bar stops animation too.

You can select do not show move in the preferences box. I have and it works great.
Also theres a check box for auto save which I would recommend to be put to checked. Just in case.
Plus theres do not show weather. Good if the mud graphic is not to your liking.

As russia the first couple turns are about 2-3 hours. As the games gone on (i'm upto t18 vs ai and t13 with pbem) i'm still at least an hour. There is so much to do i typically save and come back in later and just recheck. Forgetting something can really bone you. Like me not covering the east of lake ilmen well enough :/

Under preferences or options (i forget) there is a movement delay option. I think mine is at either .30 or .25. That helps a lot.

Cookie Monster... you just saved my day. Didn´t know the part about displaying weather effects and my first winter almost made me wear sunglasses at my office

1 hour is generally enough for me, but I got four hands and dual processors in my head [;)]

Doesn't it hurt to have 4 hands in your head? [;)]
Anyway, 1h to 1.5h usually, bit longer for the opening turns.
But having said that, I'm still learning a lot.
So presumably there's a lot going on that I *should* be paying attention to.
Forgetting to evac the factories from Leningrad would be one of those things. [:D]

For GC games against AI -- about 1.5-hours to 2-hours. For GC turns against human anywhere from 2 to 4-hours per turn.
For "Road to..." scenarios -- about 45-minutes to 1.5-hours against AI or human.

Depends. Sometimes I sit and stare at the map and try to figure stuff out, then again sometimes I just go. Combat report length isn't so vital to me, because I mostly play by sense of smell, so those have a short delay.

I spend about one hour to one and a half in GC PBEM, except for the first turn, which usually takes longer. I normally don't play the scenarios, I like the GC:s best, but I did Road to Leningrad for the tournament, and I think the turns as Soviet took about 15 minutes.

If you hit space during unit movement (regular or rail) it will remove all delay.

As the German Player I will spend up to 3 hours on a turn more if my opponent is being particlarly annoying (doing things like defending) but playing as the Russians my time is dictated by my opponent the less adventurous he is at least in the earlier stages the less work I have to do but on occasion I have had to spend the best part of a day on a turn as the situation has been shall we say interesting. I will take longer as the Germans as well if I come up,against a difficult position.
