You know when you have lost! Is there a way of surrending the game in MP? If only to save others players time!

No way to do that at the moment but its on the to do list. It is needed along with some kind of chat function.

For now, you have to PM or email me and tell me the players in the game and the scenario and approximate start date and I can delete the game from the server.
