Unit range and PP

Two separate questions.

1. Where do you see the range of any unit? I'm trying to see how far my various artillery units can fire, but I don't see range anywhere. So, I'm just having to click around on each artillery unit to see if the checkbox is green to allow it to enter the attack. Do all infantry units have a range of 1 hex? What is the range of armor units?

2. What are Political Points good for, and how do you get them? I've just started the Bzura scenario so far, but I read about them in some forum postings, and am curious how they are used.

Thanks in advance!

1. All arty units have a range of 2 hexes. Everthing has range 1.

2. PP are gained at the beginning of each turn. Different countries have different rates of gaining. Also differetn scenarios have different rates.
PP's are mostly used to play strategic cards, when a scenario has them. Also during the campaign between scenarios PP's can be spent for intelligence on what variants might be in play.

Thanks Barthheart. One more question . . . for now.

What do the 1, 2 or 3 dashes on the right side of the counters mean? Is that just a designation of battalions/regiments or something like that? Or does it have any meaning gameplay wise?

Sorry if this has already been answered in the forums, but I couldn't find anything about it.

That's an indication of the regiment number in the that division. These are not historical numbers but merely to help you keep track of division parts.
