Dick Winters passed away earlier this month. May the memory of the sacrifices by him and all other vet's who have passed live on in the annals of history.

Ah that's a bloody shame. I just re-watched the Bastogne episode of Band of Brothers at the weekend. [:(]
Edit: I was struck by a quote from one of "Easy" company that there were a lot of officers they wouldn't have followed into water - the sub-text being they would have followed him to hell and back.
