An incredible peaceful coexistence in Paris

Playing a "classic" game we were having a great time battling hard as a coalition vs. France (very classic indeed) when the same old horrible event called BUG stopped our entertainment.

A russian task force just disembarked on the french soil moved to Paris to attack Davout who was defending his capital.

The suspense was high...too much was at stake...it was June 1805...an "economic" turn....on the north front, Berlin was in french hands....

drum roll...russian land phase done...we all expect to see the russian land combat...

et voilĂ : the program jumped to the turkish land phase!

What? Bagration and Davout were peacefully coexisting in Paris!!! No battle!

What can we say?

I attach the backup file of the russian land turn, kindly requesting Marshall to solve promptly the problem.

Marshall, if it is useful, I give you the instructions to run the russian land phase:
- move Bagration's stack to Paris, forage there without spending the unspent movement points (to siege Paris immediately if the field battle is won);
- disembark the russian corp from the english channel to Cherbourg, entering it in the city;
- move the easternmost cossack to the west at full speed.

Then please return to me the russian land combat file, so I can begin the battle.

Ave atque vale

C.

Can you check that everyone followed the proper upgrade procedure, using all the intermediate versions?

Thanks Dancing Bear,
I will check, but until now we had plenty of battles and for six tense months (we are in June 1805) everything was ok.

Yeah, we are using the "classic" scenario invented by Yearworld.
The order of battle is different from the original EIANW (it is the same of the Eia boardgame), but all the rest is the same.
Probably you need to load that scenario.
I attach the eianw018.ged file (to be inserted in ...Matrix Games\Empires in Arms\Data\Databases) and the eianw018.tpj file (...Matrix Games\Empires in Arms\Data\Tables) we are using.

Marshall please save ussssssss!!!!!

Hi Marshall,

If you have any questions please contact me at yearworld57@yahoo.com. Also, I am the host do you need my host files for the game? I think the problem in the game is that the Russian leader in France seems to think he is a British leader! He is for some reason preventing the battle.
