1) You can do a Google search and you'll find the original manual on some abandon ware sites. These tend to change fairly often, so its better to seach than for me to give you an old link I have.
2) You can PM me with your e mail address and I'll send you the file I have. Note you'll probably get it faster, within minutes of searching Google, than you will with a PM to me.
Note that what you'll get is the manual to the original game. Aircraft, weapons, ships, and LCUs have been changed in the Matrix version. Also, the exe functions somewhat differently. The interface is the same. Some of the differences between the SSI version and the SSI version described in the manual are listed inthe PW Wikipedia artcile.
Not documented in the manual... Alt Y cycles throuh TFs that have completed their move so you can delete them. Alt N toggles factory control between computer and human.
Suggest you play with help for the other side. Matrix took out the subtle help for AI. If you don't do this, you'll be in for a shock when you play your firt PBEM gaime.
Have fun. This is a great game.

Interestingly, there is also a link in the Wikipedia article to a manual, but not the original manual. Wargame academy has produced an extensively annotated version. The direct link is:
http://www.wargameacademy.org/cPCW/PcwW ... 100512.pdf
However, unless you want to explore the formulas behind the rules, I would recommend the original version.

There are also two useful links in the thread "New Player Question". One leads to a download site for the original manual at the Abandonware site. The second is a text attachment for the "Data Card", which contained some last minute rules that SSI forgot to put in the manual.

Manual sent by e mail.
I played the SSI version 1997-2000, the Matrix version 2005 - 2006, and again recently. I am still learning things about the game. Its seems there is always something else to discover.

The manual say:ISO-BASE(ALT +O )lists the bases which cannot be supplied.
But how i can locate it?I'm not familiar with geography .
Thanks.

There should be a table of bases and coordinates in the "Tables" section of the manual. But I think you'll find the attached map even more handy. (Eventually, you'll know practically every base by heart!)
Be aware that, when playing the Allies, you frequently get a "false positive" for Adelaide. Since Adelaide is on the Australian mainland, it is actually supplied overland.

Ow -- looks like you're getting thrashed. I take it the loss of those troops was from a major base like Singapore falling?

Van Van, you should not expect playing as Allies to have much of a chance of a successful defense of Malaysia, DEI, or the Philippines. IJ kills will exceed Allied kills for a long time in this game.
Your choices early are generally between an attempt to delay IJ, sacrificing LCUs, airgroups, and ships to do it, or to evacuate everything you can.
Massive evacuations will work well against IJ AI, but may not work so well against a human player. Humans can respond to what you do, while AI pretty much sticks to its plan. Evacuating when playing against a human will put him ahead of historical schedule and give him an opportunity to expand well beyond historical areas. Some humans will take this opportunity.
Do not be disturbed by having early losses in airgroups and LCUs equivalent to historical. However, losing LCUs not lost historically, or losing a lot of USN carriers early are problems.
