I am hoping that no posts in the last 24 hours means that some type of release is coming[:D]
Kind of like the Germans massing in the Ardennes for Dec. 16, 1944
"Oh look at the pretty snow"....BANG.....Panzers coming rolling though the snow!

Two steps forward and one back isn't always the hokey-pokey.

Sorry, the Russians are coming! They've left Seelowe and are on the outskirts of Muncheberg. The whole thing is on fire and burning down.....[X(]
Good Hunting.

I know zero about programming but if 'damaged' buildings are available in the editor, and making the possibly inaccurate assumption that troops can enter them, why would it not be possible to substitue un-damaged with damaged ones, during the game?

We really want to release this. We're anxoius to NOT add new features at this point. We're trying to scrub away the last remaining issues, so we can get this out.
Thanks

It sounds like you guys have hit another hurdle or two in the development. I appreciate the need to 'get it right' before releasing it so this isn't a complaint - but as a rough ETA are we talking months, weeks, or days now?

We are only working on the features we currently have. What is happening is that with new features we need to check the balance for the scenarios.
I count that we have 75 scenarios in PCO. Many of those are from PC:OWS and PC:K. But many are new. When you make a change that effects balance you have to go back and recheck them. With that many scenarios it takes time. Not to mention the number of scenarios that are in the works.
Multiply each scenario by the number of times it has to be replayed before the balance is good and you have how long we have left before we release this.
There are no new features. We are just working with the ones we have to balance everything out while the demo gets finished.
Good Hunting.

Before I added the smoke to the artillery strike craters and the fire/smoke to the house that was part of the collateral damage.
Good Hunting.

Then the smoke in the craters, fire and smoke in the house add more immersion.
The smoke coming from the craters is not the same as that coming from the house. Two different densities of smoke for you to play around with helps create a better feeling for the situation.
Good Hunting.

I had the heavier smoke both in the craters and at the house but decided I didn't like that as much. So in about 2 minutes I changed it out and had it saved.
Good Hunting.
