Is there a review of this game, or its link, available on this forum?

Updated reviews about 3.4.202, the latest official release, you might find in various gamer forums or online mags, e.g. Armchair General, etc.

There have been tons of improvement being implemented, thanks to RT, and of course the bunch of avid gamers here :D

There are reviews (see link) ...

Danka, but despite the wide variety of eras, is there a game this engine compares to?

It looks something like "Decisive Battles," but the "PO" will go after weak units, not unlike Panzer General.

Well, it depends what kind of CoSim disciple you are...

This review/article sums it up, e.g. the difference between TOAW and, let's say the PC series from HPS.

There's also a VERY good one written by Norm Koger, the "master" himself about the mechanics and other stuff (his reply to a grognard article).

DB series from the Oz lads of SSG normallly got a good A/I (even back in the 80s, CAW, Erope Ablaze, etc.).The scale, unti size, well... yes, more or less operational, but they focus more, like the title says, on decisive battles or part of'm.

DC... well, I played Advanced Tactics and People's Tactics... as far as I know it includes production, strategic etc. settings and options. Maybe the other lads here are more into tha'. Scale/Unit size, yes, operational I'd say. 1 day turns, Regimental units etc.

For the record - NO, I am not on the payroll of MG, SSG, HPS - only STALAG 13 :D

Thanks again, and I haven't heard that "Carthage must be destroyed" since World Civ 1.

Please be aware they refer to the pre-3.4.202 version. I recommend to read the what'snew.pdf or .doc of the game. It should be available here at a forum thread or via Google.
