Stupid question...

This sounds like a really stupid question, and it is! But I want to take a shot at map editing and was wondering how do I clear the terrain in one hex?
I haven't seen how this is done yet!
Also how do I turn a bunch of scenarios into a campaign?
Thanks

One way to start all of this is:
1. Open up a plain map in the map editor and begin to play.
Try all of the tools and just build nonsense. Add this and that, delete things by overprinting with another feature.
2. After trying all of the tools and understanding how they work, build a very simple little map with trees, hills, creeks, etc.
A scenarios should be a part of a larger campaign design. Just taking a bunch of scenarios and "converting" them don't work.
Learn to make maps first. Then, try *small* straight-forward scenarios. The number one error of fledgling scenaro designers is to begin with a large battle - I made this discouraging mistake myself and was so disappointed in the result, that it was a long while before I tried again.
KISS. Keep It Simple at first. Get yourself some success rather than failure. Don't figure you will master all of this in a weekend. Think more in terms of months, even years.
Read the manual and try stuff much like a scratch pad. Play your own little scenarios and see if they are fun and work the way you intended.
Read Wild Bill's scenario tutorials - An excellent way to start.
