Hello Eastern fronters!

I posted this link in another forum but realized later that it belongs here. This is definitely some interesting reading; the part about winter losses and the troubles getting Heeresgruppe Sud up to strength in preparation of Fall Blau(my 'favourite' offensive ) are quite sobering. It gives you an idea of the immense losses suffered by the Germans in the first 10 months.

Great read

the true state of german forces is very sobering in 42 and shows that blau was a gamble to say the least. The Armed Forces Potential in the Spring of 1942, page 134 brings the manpower issue to light in a startling way.

I know the game is doing its job in recreating history when players are forced to maintain a strength of 50% on 2 fronts just to give 1 front offensive operational freedom. this game is a gem in re-creating the historical problems faced by both sides.
