Do Difficulty Level settings affect a PBEM game? Would I be giving myself a handicap as the Allied player in the Guadalcanal scenario if I had set the difficulty to "Very Hard"? Thanks for any info or advice.

A have to ask. What exactly are this bonuses for hard and very hard difficulty?

Difficulty levels are for the AI. It gets more advantages as difficulty increases.

So, I can assume that in a PBEM game, whatever level of difficulty is set, there is no affect on the human player.
