I have observed that in my PBEM as Soviet, I have a lot of Partisan squads in my Rifle Divisions. This is a screenshot showing where they are: I have 10000 partisan squads. Is that normal?

I had this happen in a test game, I think we put it down to version mis-matches.

They should get cleared out as the OOBs change. I only had about a dozen divs with Partisan squads, so 120 is a lot, and combat performance could be affected - it is fun seeing panzer IVs killed by Molatov cocktails though.

Besides, probably he is doing zero garrisoning. So I should contact him and tell him to update to version 1.03 (and gently remind him about the need of garrisoning?). It is a Slitherine game, so I think there is no solution for my present turn.

It was fixed in one of the Betas. Since it is a data fix it requires a restarts:
* Changed ground element (732 - ""Partisan Squad"") type to ""Partisan Squad"" (52), a newly created type. Done to limit Partisan Squads to partisan units. In games using this new data, Partisan Squads will not be used in non-partisan units.
