Flame throwers rawk!

Aaah! There's nothing like the feeling of forcing an engine shutdown after 8 consecutive flame thrower blasts, he hee!

Now I'm starting to learn how to use them properly, these weapons are well fun. They seem to work best when treated as an "improved CC weapon" in that you can still use them when moving...although it's best to use them at point blank when standing still. :D

They're good, but they have really short range and low ammo. And they don't create instability.
They're one of the best reasons to have a shield on a titan :)

Them and Neutron Blasters.
Both are annoying bastards when they're not in your titan.

Watch out for the new EM Pulser. Its light and can shutdown
titans on engine hits. I had some nice effects with them in my test team. A shutdown titan will recover quickly but has to
put its devices offline afterwards and it actions are cancelled.

But that's why you always make sure to back up your flamethrowers with a couple of chainsaws as well, Thogrim. <EG>

Those cause plenty of instability. Then you lock hex, set the woods on fire (I almost always fight in woods...if only to boost my OXP through using Recon) and then scarper.

But to use the chainsaws you must be in the same hex, and setting it on fire is not too healthy for you either. Running away from a burning hex is giving your opponent free shots at you with no chance to fire back. If he has a shield, heat is a lesser problem. :)
Mind you I didn't say FTs are not good, I said exactly the opposite. They're the best CC weapon. But their handicap is precisely that, being CC :)

Yeah, you did. I have the memory of a goldfish.
