Netbook?

Can anyone confirm, or otherwise, that CC runs satisfactorily and pleasantly-playably on a netbook? Looking at the stated specs screen resolution (which , as not stated, I assume defaults to desktop resolution?) looks like the only likely problem (needs to be 1024 x 600).

Ta.

On a related note, is it a "wide screen game"  or a  "square screen game" ?

If it runs on a netbook I am interested.  But if its a "square screen" game it would be impossible to view on a netbook.

You can run it windowed, and the main window is resizable (and the unit selection, Victory conditions and jump maps are all popout dialogue windows) . So I would imagine it would be possible to get it working on a netbook screen (1024 x 600). Obviously your vertical screenspace would be limited.

Hi

Can anyone confirm (or deny) if the game will run on a netbook?

Cheers

It runs great.  You don't need to mess about with resolution at all, it just opens up in the default.

With Field of Glory, CC would be one of my 'must buys' for netbook wargamers.

Installed and running nicely :)

Is there a config file for changing text - style, size etc? - to improve readibility. In particular the blue text with what looks like a shadow on city names.

Cheers
