I finally have UV on the way. I opted for the slower, cheaper ground ship method. Which means some UPS guy is probably placing a 200lb box on top of another box labeled "FRAGILE! DO NOT CRUSH!" and w/ the "this side up" arrow safely pointing horizontally. Under these, the UV game, all but forgotten.
It is shipping to my place of employment. Once it arrives in our warehouse, it will be placed under a 200 lb box labeled..........
Eventually, I'll get my grubby hands it.

Sleep now while you have a chance...
Mine was suppossed to arrive the Friday before father's day, but UPS lost it and ended up returning it to their distribution facilty out in CA somewhere. It finally got here on the 25th. It's been a blast every since. I thought about having mine shipped to work, but since they regulalry loose my paycheck in the intra-company mail, I didn't want to trust them with UV
I'm trying to work my courage up for a PBEM game -- I'm sure I could be cannon-fodder for someone out there...

Hi
Go for it! You will have a blast. There are vets out there that dont mind playing newbies or make fun of you. Its the best way to learn the game actually.

I agree with U2 jump in with both feet. Playing newbes is just as good as vets. it helps with the learning curve for the rookies and provides good access for experminting s for the vets. While helping the newer players. There's always room for one more player

I have 1 week vacation in reserve. Waiting for game to arrive before I take it.
I'll be ok for first pbem, CCB has offered to send my fleet to the bottom at no charge. So I already have a rookie lined up.

Thanks Dan... My concern is I have only played Coral Sea and Eastern Solomans (I manage to pretty well at either one), so I haven't really had a chance to practice things like supply/barge and amphibious landings.
Regardless, I'll take you advice and Point Luck's and see if I can't find a PBEM game.
