Had a hard drive blow up and lost my TOAW files. Where do I go to download them again?

Am I to understand that once you buy a Matrix game and download it that's it? You're screwed if you have a problem?
I have 22 Steam games. Downloaded all them again. Bought about 35 games from Direct 2 Drive. Downloaded them all again. 2 games from Stormeagle Studios. Downloaded them again. Three from EA Games. Downloaded them again.
I have two games from Matrix and it's 'too bad. you lose'. I hope to hell I don't lose the $80 GG game.

I'm pretty certain if you PM Eric Rutins, he can help - I'm sure he's sorted this out more than once for others...

If you have no success with Erik Rutins there are other ways still. Someone could burn you a CD and send it to you. Uploading it to a file hoster would be more elegant of course but i fear there are some legal issues (even when there's no serial in the download).

I've just found that there is a process already in place for this in the main forum tech section. Must be a relatively common event. Hopefully I can dig up the info required to get the job done. [;)]

Well I really would like to know if it would be a legal problem to provide someone who lost his game with a copy of it.
As long as he registered his serial and so make clear he bought the game and I don't provide my serial to him everything should be fine or?

It's a grey area nevertheless. I think it also depends HOW you provide the someone with the copy: Upload the game to a file hoster, to private webspace or sending him a physical copy on CD via mail.
If you upload it to a filehoster, rapidshare i.e. deletes files that haven't been downloaded for (i think) 30 days. Also i would put the file into a zip or rar archive, set an archive password and won't name the file TOAW or with the full title as it could be found with certain search engines or simply with google. And don't provide a serial in the upload.

It would behoove matrix to have every copy assigned to a person. That way they could keep track. But I think they do. If I remember correctly, I downloaded a second time after losing a harddrive. I could be confusing it with another game though. You just have to go through the channels.
