My friend has a talent for understatement! Some arty is something on the order of 8-10 batteries of 220mm! Plus a battery or two of 203mm. The few troops he did hit, some Marines, are vapor.
We are playing 16k points, large map, vis is at 18 I think, August 1949. We are allowed to buy any nation! His boomers come from the Bugarian OOB.
On my turn, I got out a dustpan for those Marines, and found no enemy soldiers with other scouts.

HULLO! Surprise, surprise! Marine Corp Assault troops die this time, but they are Viking's! So does a SPAA gun, Japanese, I believe.
My arty has spoken also! Not as impressive as Viking's, to be sure, but I am pleased with it.
Vikings force seems to be sitting for now. I see Tiger IE (late)'s! I see Panthers! I see Centurions! Fields of death, laying parked right now. Not for long.
I took all of his rear victory hexes already! That ought to get them a moving!
You can put your surrender on plain, white paper, in a SASE, and mail it on over.

Rangers, and listening post all over the place, In a move I will probably regret, I use 60mm Jeeps to counter the rangers

His artillery is killing me. I lost a Jackson to it. I lost a platoon to it. It is horrible.
Because of their bigger cousins's crimes, the 60mm jeeps have been slaughtered.

slowly probing, I take care of those rangers later, hopefully.
Found the wrong end of a Flametank and a Comet combo.

Several turns later...
I have lost a couple of tanks, and platoons, to his relentless artillery. Both sides are still basically sitting tight. My Rangers are under seige at his rear hexes, but several AA tanks are dead, along with more 60mm jeeps than I can remember.

The rangers have done their job well, but Goblin my friend you are not sitting tight, I saw 6 to 7 Coments move foward in the north, as well as Jackson an Flame combos probing in sever areas
I wonder why I didn't think of that Jackson Flamer combo, Goblin is a teacher

A big fight is brewing in the north, I'm rushing forces to pulg the gap that is about to be created, his forces are just too powerful to stop with whats in place. Enenmy is pressing foward in the middle,
Sgt Killer from Ranger platoon 3 has Bazooka's faned out in front, Sarge knows he has support to his left and right, Pvt Smuk ask the Sgt what is that, as he points to the ground, the Sarge looks down and he sees a Big Yellow Circle with a 2 in the middle, fear rushes though him as he screams RUN!! Sadly its too late BOOM 220mm rounds fall
Back to you Goblin

A big fight is brewing all right. Unless his Panthers keep shooting at a 25%ish chance and hitting every time, no misses.
I got to flame some enemy infantry, which always makes a guy feel better.
Rangers and Marines in close range firefights! PoppoppopPing! PoppoppoppoppopPing! Rattatatatata! Boom! I think my Rangers got the better.
Some of your troops found one of my big spray paint numbers too...:p

Big fight in the North many Jacksons and Hellcat lay burning now, the Coment's seem to be the biggest problem, I have lost some Panthers and some Tigers, and a FireFly: but I belive I have dented the northern assult fairly well, in the center Goblin's have over run the V hexes, I lay all avalible Arty to try and take out anything left on the hill. There is so much smoke I can't even see the center hill any longer, The southern portion of the map is very quite, initialy I thought the south was going to be the fight but his push was what I believe to be a faint, if that is the case I fell for it. Many forces still lay unaccounted for his assault in the North were mainly AUX forces, If there is a Goblin on the Battle Field then there are some King Tigers some where.

Dented the assault?!? Try smashed it. That arty is still murderous, and I lost more tanks than I care to count. My turn mainly consisted of rallying crewmen.
I'm not finished yet...

This turn I kill a Jackson at close range with a AA tank from Japan, and kill three ranger squads around my rear hexs. Goblins got a tight grip around his Vhexs, Kingtigers, panthers, and Centrions in self covering positions. Trying to take back the northern Vhexs but there are still infantry on it.
