.. by editing my save games?

I know we can't create mods yet, or new scenarios, but I thought this might be possible. I just want to do things like be able to increase or decrease the number of Roman Legions in an army, etc.

What program would or could I use to edit the .dat save game files? Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

No, you cannot mod until you send me your next turn in Revolution Under Siege. [:D]

Although, I am looking at getting this as well.
Do you have it? What are your thoughts?

And if the designer happens to see this, imagine....
Diadoch wars! Oooh!

Just sent the turn buddy [8D]

Oh geez, it's a FANTASTIC game! The map is a beauty and the combat system is fun and easy to grasp. Tutorials are great. The only sticking points are the price and inability to PBEM, but I'm having a hell of a lot of fun versus the AI.

I am sorry, but this is not possible. There are too many cross-dependencies in the saved game format.

But I will give strong consideration to creating something like a scenario editor. That would amount to creating custom saved games. You won't be able to tailor the AI itself - it will retain its same strategic outlook.

Perhaps I can integrate this into the game along with the simple economic model for the Carthaginian side which I have in mind.

That's quite all right. I very much look forward to any kind of editor! Thanks for your prompt response!
