Actually according to the first Terminator movie, it should have happened in 1997. According to Terminator 3, it should have happened in 2004. Today is from the Sara Connor Chronicles.

I always thought Terminator 3 was the second-worst film. It really abandoned its core principle.

I think that the whole series is great in the concept but every next part is less scary.
First one made a great impression on me. The vision of the dark future was so imaginative for me. Second part was good, but the T-800 didn't kill anybody so it wasn't so scary. (I assume it was about age ratings in US cinemas)
Third one was just interesting and with nice FX. Fourth was full of absurds.

First two parts were good, third one sucked, didn't even know there was a fourth movie.

I hated the third. Never bothered to watch the fourth. The only one I really liked was the original. The second just seemed too flashy with special effects.

Not only did he think it was the best Terminator movie, he also thought it was one of the best 5 sci-fi movies of all time. [X(]
