Thanks to Kwick e mart for the title. This will be a grudge match/duel between Stuart (Dobey) and myself. It's to settle a dispute between us (See Sun Tzu Thread) and each of us will use the principals of a different military theologian. That is Sun Tzu vs. Clauswitz (for anyone who hasn't already figured that out!). Dobey, you can stop reading now!

I will be the wiley asians and Stuart , the Allies. I expect this to be short,very bloody , and somewhat interesting. I'll be back to report after Stuart returns my 1st turn. Till then....[:D]

Of course there is! Just imagine if Sun Tzu fought Clauswitz in a bar fight! [:D]

Ooh, can I be Maurice? I bet he'd have paid Sun Tzu to fight Clausewitz instead of him and had poisoned both their blades so that at the end of the fight two potential enemies would be dead AND he'd never have to pay out.

You've just gotta love Maurice's way of thinking. He put the Machiavelli into scheming.

This is a must watch...pocporn and scotch it is!

Sorry about the delay in updating. We are at turn 5.

My strategy so far is more Nathan Bedford Forrest than Sun Tzu. ("Get there firstus with the mostest!"---Yes I know he didn't really say it.[:D]). What I've done is to combine all the appropriate ships into two forces. A CV striking group with all 3 CV's, and a transport group. I've had my CV's head south of Gili Gili , where they launched a strike and appear to have hit Yorktown with 2 torpedo's.

Here's the Sun Tzu part. I've flown off the near useless Claudes to Lae, and taken one of the land based Zero groups, broken it into 3 parts , and reinforced the carriers. I've pulled the search floatplanes off the AV's, and replaced them with Rufes. All sea based planes are at Shortlands, and all LBA is at Rabaul.

Stuart appears to have sent the Oz cruiser group to intercept my transport group, and was caught by my Netties. Australia and Hobart are gone, Whipple barely escaped. That ship , alone will soon run into the transport group, screened by 2 CL's,4DD's and 2 E's. I think they can handle Whipple. After that , I should have troops landing at PM in 3 days. And the CV group is just south of the transport group , screening it.

He did get a shot at Shokoku with an S-boat, which fortunately (for me) missed. That's it for now. [:)]
