pbem problems

Hello, I'd like some help when playing my first pbem game...
I start the game, determine the settings, assign 2 human players and 2 AI..start the game, take my turn, hit end turn..
the next screen is the second human players turn, as if it's a hotseat game...Do I save now and send him the file?
I've done that, but when I send the file via hotmail, it uploads but then says it won't send as there are errors in the file and they can't be scanned..
My question is..am I following the correct procedure to getting files back and forth, or is it a problem with my email settings?

try sending to (your partners problem) or from (your problem) a different email adress.. some email hosts have been known to corrupt the attachment files.
also try opening the savefile your self to see if it is ATG which is at fault or the email providers in question
best,
Vic

You need to enable the passwords option on your PBEM game. Then, when you end your turn, you'll be be prompted to save the game and exit.

I've may have stumbled on a solution.....I've been using the pbem passwords and sending the game back and forth to myself...I still get the error when attaching the file from both msn and hotmail...the error states that there are errors and can't be scanned..
but
I am now sending the file via gmail (google's email service)..it now loads with no problems.

I sincerely hope this works when playing pbem with another person...as this game has captured my imagination...thanks for creating it..

I and several of my PBEM friends use gmail and we have never had an issue.

One of my PBEM opponents has complained recently about GMAIL not passing ATG files, but it doesn't seem to be a widespread problem. I had been using gmail but always preferred Yahoo mail. Yahoo originally was very clunky with AT WWII PBEM files so I went to GMAIL but now Yahoo seems to have corrected itself and I am back to using it.

I also have a problems with sendint the turn with g-mail. It workes well with standard At but the moment I install At Gold it stoped. I cannot attach the files to G-mail. It goes for At Gold files as standard At files also. Dont know what went wrong but bouth type of files simply wont attach anymore.

Very odd because I use gmail and have no problems sending ATG files....
