I'm using 1108c scenario 2 and have not located any units that use this device in game nor in the scenario database. A search of the forum revealed an occasional question about their use but no answers.

While producing 30 a month doesn't seem like much it does appear to be a wasted resources IMHO.

Does anyone know if this device is used in another scenario or mod?

The Type 3 Mine is an Japanese air dropped drift mine von Tirpitz. I couldn't find any aircraft that carry it in the stock 2 scenario but you can open up the editor and define aircraft to carry it. Below is a link to an old thread discussing it.

I didn't think to look back through the original WitP threads.

If I get around to another matchup after the one I am currently playing I am hopeful it will be a Babes mod. I'll have to check to see if their database uses the device and hopefully the mechanics are still in place for it to work for the Japanese.
