Commander's View

A few minor issues with the Commander's view:

1. When in this view mode I can see right through the tank at the base of the image (see embedded). This is at maximum resolution, no wide screen on a high end machine.

2. The camera rotate speed is much slower when in Commander's View than in other view modes - I have to make several mouse moves, each covering about 30 degrees, to check my flanks, whereas in other views a single mouse movement swings the view through about 120 degrees.

3. The 'U' key won't remove the movement path for the selected tank, even during turn replay. I think an option needs to be added to the 'U' tabbing options, so that ('U') = no path shown, even when unit tank is selected, (+'U') = show selected unit's path, (+'U') = show selected platoon's path, (+'U') = show ALL unit paths. I would even drop a couple more in somewhere for Show All Infantry paths, Show All Recon paths, Show All Armour paths, etc. but that's only a nice to have...

When you have a unit selected it shows the orders it has been given. It also shows the relationship within the platoon. While you can turn off the orders, which is the blue line, you can't turn off the command relationship band. (the green band between units of the same platoon)

Good Hunting.

Hi MR.

In the Commander's View during the action phase the command relationship band isn't displayed, but the blue movement path is. It's the blue movement path I would like to be able to hide during the action phase.

The screenie below was to show the hole in the tank. This tank hasn't yet got a move order, so no blue line.

I see that line. It's much thinner in my screen, probably due to screen resolution. Perhaps we can look at that in a post release patch.

You can deselect the unit and the blue movement line will not be seen, or you can hold down the ALT key and it will disappear. those are only two ways I know to get rid of it.

Thanks
Rick

Yes, but if you deselect the unit you can't have commanders view showing.  That's the issue here. In commanders view we need to take a look at disabling the orders and command lines.
