Sharing Violation

I bought from the store. I've tried installing three times and each time I get a sharing violation referencing a different file:

"Encountered a sharing violation while accessing <file>"

In the latest instance it was \Media\KHARKOV_L6A\map.bmp

That's odd. Are you trying to install it on top of a previous installation, either Kharkov or the demo? A reboot and making sure you're logged in with an administrator level account may help.

Clean install. I have rebooted and logged in as administrator. Weirdly, if I kill the process and restart, it gets a bit further each time. Last attempt (number 5) got me to 2.37GB. Will keep trying to see if I can a) finish installing and b) get it to run.

Have you turned off any anti-virus or security software that could be interfering with the installation?

This sounds like either a virus checker is scanning the installer, or there is a file cache being used on the downloaded file .

What OS are you using?

Thanks

Using Vista. I kept at it and finished the install - as you say, looks like something local to my machine rather than the download file itself. 1st Panzer is already rolling :)

Thanks for the answers!
