A note on PBEM.

Hi All,
If you have not tried PBEM I suggest you find an opponent do so. It is quite a lot of fun and an enjoyable challenge. Junk2drive was kind enough to help me along with the process.........as well as helping me to suffer a decisive loss [X(]
We played the demo tutorial with me as the Germans. I tried a wide sweep flanking movement with my armour hoping that I would not be seen. The idea being to surprise and destroy all of Junk2drive's T-26's. Then to approach the objective from the west side having the woods and farm houses between me and the Russian AT guns. Infantry in the meantime was to spot artillery on suspected AT gun positions. Sounds good eh?
Well Junk2drive discovered my flanking movement and closed the distance keeping trees between himself and my Panzers. When I turned to flank he was waiting. The result was the decimation of my armour while he lost only 3 pieces. Meanwhile my infantry was being pasted by gun fire and artillery. The game ended shortly thereafter. Even though I was badly beaten I very much enjoyed the game.
Check out Rick's you tube how to on PBEM ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l304SJ4TaEY ) and read the manual ( page 118 ) under multiplayer.
It's quite a bit of fun.................. just be careful with fancy tactics. [:)]
Regards,
John
