Howdy-

I prefer to keep the music off in the game. I set that in the prefs. However, everytime I start the game, it starts with the music on. I load my save, open the prefs, and it says the music is off. So I turn it on and then off, and then it finally stays off. This is annoying as hell. Is there any way to have the game start with music off? (I want to keep my speaker volume up to listen to music I like. The music in the game is fine, but is obviously repetitive.)

I can't remember for sure, but I think this has been addressed before. Try doing a keyword search for "music" in this forum and your answer might pop up. (I think this can be done by changing the registry.)
