Scenario Editor question

I'm trying my luck with the scenario editor. However, I only see the upper half of the information on the left. The German OOB can be seen, but only a small part of the Russian OOB. Probably very simple, but I can't figure it out.

Should I post a screenshot perhaps?

Yes. Could be that the default resolution size doesn't fit your screen well. Can you click and drag the screen?

For me the scenario editor opens maximised. When I minimise I can't see the Russian OOB and cannot move the screen within the window. Check to see if you minimised it.

It opens maximized allright, and I can move the screen within the window. But I can't go down within the screen.

Can I ask what your screen resolution is set to? I can get that happening if I change my display to seom resolutions and try to maing a constant aspect ratio. Also check your default font size settings, either system or browser? Just some guesses here.
Thanks

Try the resize window button and make it smaller. Then drag the lower edge of the window and see if you can get a size that works.

I think I worked it out, guys. Fiddled a bit with the resolution and stuff, like you suggested. Thanks!

After editing a battle I would like to inspect it and place the units exactly where I want them (placing them in cover, make combined Kampfgruppen, that sort of thing). How can I get a closer look? Is it possible to load the game in the scenario editor? Or is there another way?

The easiest way is to load the scenario into the game, adjust your unit placements presicely, use F4 for unlimited placement if you need to, then press the F3 key to export your unit positions when you have your units where you want them. In the Scenario Editor is a button for importing these placements. You can do each side separately. You might find when you save the scenario that you will have to tug the off-mpa units back awaya from the map sometimes.
Thanks

Remember in the game placement is to high precision. When you put it back into the scenario editor location is only to the nearest meter. So when you save and start the game scenario again you may find the editor shifted the location a tiny bit.

Okay, good to know, thanks Mobius.

Yes, and it's done separately for german and russian forces. often when doing this, I'll get an error message about off-map forces being on map. if you click on the offending unit and tug it back from the map a few meters, it works then.
thanks
