We're nearing the 100 day(turn) mark in our test drive of my mod...over the next couple weeks hopefully I will find the time to post some screen shots and recount the events of the 1st hundred days.

I've taken my fair share of lumps throughout the contest...partly due to my still getting sea legs and partly due to superior play on the part of my esteemed opponent. As a result I will fail to meet my own established goal of matching history in the SRA. That being said, I'm still pretty much on schedule to achieve my other goals which are fairly limited when compared to other players.

There are a number of big changes in my mod that have impacted play significantly IMO:

1. China - as stated elsewhere I added a bucketload of dot bases to China and increased garrison requirements across the length and breadth for both sides. Early testing revealed a problem with the mod with the dot bases auto-switching. As a result I added small static "political section" units to maintain control of the bases for the Chinese. The political sections have served an additional function - by helping to screen larger Chinese units. China has become a true morass and the Chinese now have the opportunity to infiltrate behind the Japanese "lines" and remain in a position there. Hopefully with the Burma road closed the Chinese will start to feel a real supply pinch and allow me to conduct an Ichi-go style offensive later in the war.

2. Airbase sizes - the airbase SPS values were re-evaluated across the board based upon terrain type in a hex. The vast majority of airbases have a much smaller SPS. This change coupled with the engineering unit changes in DBB, has helped to stop the construction of large airbases in every conceivable backwater location.

3. Economy - the mod uses my economic changes as discussed elsewhere.

4. Merchant ship changes tied to the economy.

5. Kwantung Army Restrictions - far more of the Kwantung Army is restricted in this mod and as a result is unavailable for redeployment elsewhere.

That's all I have time for at the moment ...stay tuned.
